Stop! Before you publish another
brochure or place another ad or talk to the media or give
a speech... Stop and ask yourself these questions:
- Why do I want to communicate
at all? (What is my communication objective?)
- What are the key messages
of the company? Do the employees know what those messages
are?
- Who exactly are we trying
to reach?
- What is the best way to reach
those audiences?
- How do we know if we are reaching
them?
Simple questions? Many organizations
have never really stopped to ask themselves what their communication
strategy is. Having a logo, a mission statement, perhaps even
a great slogan and certainly some kind of an advertising budget
do not always add up to success.
Strategic Communication helps
organizations define their communication strategy so that
they can communicate with their publics in a more effective
and cost efficient way.
"The
work we did with Key Messages was particularly effective...our
organization has seen tangible positive outcomes in
both public and internal communication. I highly recommend
this training and Ms. Habetler as a facilitator."
